We need to Tell Clover What To Do
For Clover to know how to apply your TapMango rewards and vouchers, you need to specify what type of offer your reward is. Is it a % discount? A flat amount discount? It's your choice!

Mapping TapMango Rewards to Clover
Step 1: Navigate to Your Reward or Voucher① Sign into https://portal.tapmango.com ② Navigate to either Rewards or Vouchers from the left-hand menu. ③ Select the reward or voucher you want to map to your POS integration, then select the Discounts tab. ④ Select Add Discount. |
Step 2: Choose Your Integration and Discount Type⑤ Choose the Clover integration for your location.
⑥ Select the Discount Type followed by the dollar or percentage value of the discount. ⑦ If you select Product Discount (Amount) or Product Discount (Percentage), you will also have the option to select whether this discount can apply to multiple items in a single purchase. ⑧ Click Save. |
Discount Types Available For Clover
There are multiple discount types that Clover can support when setting up your rewards or vouchers.

SimpleThis adds the discount to the Clover sale as a $0.00 line item - it does not adjust the sale total in Clover.

Product Discount (Percentage)A percentage-based discount limited to specific Categories or Products. TapMango applies the discount to all qualifying items on the sale based on the Clover IDs used. (see below).

Product Discount (Amount)A flat dollar discount limited to specific Categories or Products. TapMango applies the discount to all qualifying items on the sale based on the Clover IDs used. (see below). The dollar amount set on this discount will be applied across all qualifying items in the cart until its full value is reached.

Modifier Discount (Percentage)A percentage-based discount that applies to item modifiers individually on each line item. You can choose to discount all modifiers attached to an item or target a single one.
Additionally, you can make sure the modifier discount only works when a modifier is attached to a specific product. This is beneficial in cases where a modifier is available across multiple products, and you'd like to only discount it when used on a specific product.

Overall Discount (Percentage)A percentage-based discount that applies to the entire sale. Is not restricted to any category or product and you can set a minimum purchase amount (after tax). |
Overall Discount (Amount)A flat dollar discount that applies to the entire sale. Is not restricted to any category or product and you can set a minimum purchase amount (after tax). The discount cannot deduct more than the total sale value to create a negative balance. |
Two For OneThis option requires a Product or Category ID to be used. It will discount the 2nd item of the same type to $0.

Fixed PriceThis option applies a fixed price to the mapped item. A Product or Category ID is required to enable this setting. |
Buy One Get OneA 100% discount that applies when two qualifying items are added to the sale. TapMango applies the discount to the second item. When restricted to a category, the discount applies to the lower-value qualifying item.

Buy X Get YBuy a specific number of items to get a discount on a separate set of items. For Example: Buy 4 Cookies, Get 2 Coffee's Free!

Getting Product and Category IDs
To accurately apply your TapMango discounts, we need specific information from Clover - specifically, the Product ID or Category ID. These IDs are unique codes (a mix of numbers and letters) that Clover uses to identify your inventory items.
Finding them is straightforward. Below are two ways to locate your Clover IDs:
Locate ID's From Clover
① Go to Your InventoryTo do this you need to sign into your Clover account online. After signing in navigate to your inventory. Products are under the Items tab and categories are under the Categories tab

② Find. Copy. PasteOnce you find your product or category you'll see the ID right under the name. Just highlight this, right-click, and 'copy'. Then go back to TapMango and under the product, or category ID section of your discount right-click, and 'paste' |
Selecting IDs During Discount Mapping
After choosing your Clover integration and Discount Type, look for the magnifying glass icon beside the Applies To and Does Not Apply To fields to map your rewards.
Adding Product and Category Mapping to DiscountsClick the magnifying glass icon to search your Clover inventory, then click Add next to the Product or Category you want to include. |
Removing Product and Category ID's From DiscountsThere are two ways to remove a Product or Category map from a discount: ① From the discount tab of the reward, click on the integration map to edit it and manually delete the IDs in the Applies To field. ② From the discount tab of the reward, click on the integration map to edit it and click on the magnifying glass icon next to the ID field. From the pop-up window, click Remove beside the Product or Category. |
