Unlike other Clover devices, the Flex 4 attaches customers to a sale by searching from the register itself - there is no customer-facing TapMango tablet.
Using Your Clover Flex 4 Integration
Step 1: Start a Sale and Review OrderAdd the items to the sale as normal, then tap Review Order. |
Step 2: Proceed to PaymentTap Pay to proceed to the payment screen. |
Step 3: Search for the CustomerWhen the Awaiting Membership Scan screen window pops up, tap Search and enter the customer's phone number.
|
Step 4: Apply a Discount (Optional)Once their customer profile loads, you will see the following:
Select the reward or voucher the customer wants to redeem, then tap Done. |
Step 5: Complete PaymentYou will return to the register page from Step 2, now showing the updated total with the discount applied. From here, you can either complete payment as usual or click Review Order to adjust the discount. Shortly after payment is complete, the customer's account will update: points for the sale will be issued, and any used points or vouchers will be deducted. |
Troubleshooting
Awaiting Membership Window is not Popping Up Automatically
If the Awaiting Membership Scan isn't popping up automatically on Clover, it is likely due to one of a few issues. Two of these can be easily adjusted in your Clover settings.
1. Order Numbers must be set to "none"
Open the Setup app on Clover and navigate to Order Receipts > Order Numbers.
If "Manual" is enabled, the Awaiting Membership will not automatically pop up. It must be set to "None" or “Automatic (rolled over)”
It is preferrable to set it to "None," but “Automatic (rolled over)” should be fine as it isn't supposed to interrupt the flow.
If you choose to keep this setting on 'Manual,' you will be required to manually select 'TM Rewards' on Clover to look up customers, as there is no workaround for this step.
2. "Automatically take payment on Connected Device" must be disabled
There is a setting in Clover that auto-routes directly to the payment PIN Pad; this must be disabled in order for the 'Awaiting Membership Scan' to pop up.
Click on the 3 lines in the top left corner
Click into Settings and then click See Additional Settings at the bottom (text should be in blue)
Click on Payments on the left hand side menu
Under Payment device, deselect "Automatically take payment on Connected Device"
The "Automatically take payment on Connected Device" setting used to be called “Automatically take payment on PIN pad”.
