Attaching Existing Rewards Customers
Whether you're running your LS-X register from a web browser or a POS/iPad, the process of attaching existing TapMango customers will be the same.
1. Ask the customer to sign into the TapMango tablet.
The customer must sign in to the tablet before the cashier scans any items.
2. Add items to the sale on the LS-X register.
Start the sale as normal and begin scanning the customers items. Once an item has been added to the sale, the cashier will see the customers name attach to the sale.
3. Click "Pay" on the register.
Once you click Pay, the Rewards window will pop up. The cashier can either select a TapMango discount to apply to the sale or skip and move on to the payment screen.
Please note, all discounts may not be available for the cashier to view. Cashiers will only see discounts that are mapped to qualifying items in the cart.
For example, if a customer has a "Free Cookie" voucher on TapMango tablet, the cashier will only see this voucher on LS-X if there is a cookie in the sale.
4. Once the sale is complete, the customer will be signed out of the tablet.
Points for the sale will be assigned to the customers rewards account and any vouchers used or points redeemed will be removed from their account.
NOTE: If the customer exists in TapMango but not in Lightspeed, you must refresh or reload the screen and then add items to the sale in order to successfully attach the customer to the sale. This is due to caching on the POS and is a limitation of the POS itself. Please refer to the following section if an existing customer does not attach to the sale.
Attaching Newly Registered Customers
When a customer registers for the first time on the TapMango tablet (or exists in TapMango but not in Lightspeed), the LS-X register needs to be refreshed or you will not see the customer attached to the sale.
Refreshing from Web Browser:
- If you are running your register from a Web Browser, you can simply click the "reload" button on the browser.
- After refreshing, proceed with the steps listed above.
Refreshing from POS:
- If you are running your register from the POS/iPad, you will need to navigate to a different tab and then return back to the register. This will function the same way as refreshing the page.
- After returning to the register tab, you can proceed with the steps listed above.
Refreshing from iPad App:
- Tap the Menu Icon (≡), then tap 'Online'. On the pop-up that appears, tap 'Sync all data' to refresh the sale.
- After refreshing, proceed with the steps listed above.

Common Questions
Can TapMango wallet payments be made through the register?
Not at this time.
If a customer has wallet funds they wish to use on a sale, you will have to manually deduct the wallet balance from the admin side of the TapMango tablet.
Can I use multiple TapMango discounts on a single transaction?
No, you can only use one discount per sale.
I use a Vend Chrome extension. Will this still work?
We are deprecating the old Vend Chrome extension. Please reach out to TapMango support or your account manager so that we can migrate you to the new Lightspeed-X process.
