Your new eCard Systems gift cards have the exact same workflow as any other gift cards used with Toast. The below guide is a quick refresher compared to the training Toast would've provided but if you're interested in learning more please see Toast's Training Guide here.
Note: A gift card must be loaded on a separate sale first before it can be used as payment.
Instore - Gift Cards and Wallets
Loading the TapMango App Wallet
Step 1 - Open "Gift Cards" on the Toast Register and click on "Add Value"
Step 2 - Input the amount that you want to load onto the card
Step 3 - Click on "Scan" and scan the QR code from the customer's app
Note: This can only work with the mobile app QR code, the QR code on a TapMango keychain tag will not work
Step 4 - The added value will then appear on the order screen and is ready for payment
Paying With Wallet/Gift Card
Step 1 - Select "Pay" from the Ordering Screen
Step 2 - Select the "Gift Card" Payment method button on the right hand side
Step 3 - You will be prompted to Enter the Gift Card Number. You can key in or swipe the card with the card reader. Similarly, tapping "Scan" will activate the front-facing camera on the tablet to read the QR code on the gift card/branded app (if applicable).
Step 4 - When the payment is complete, select the "Receipt Type" to close the order.
Online Ordering
At the checkout page customers will see an additional button with a form. All the information that the form asks for will be on the physical ecards. Customers can check their balance once they’ve entered the gift card information.
If a customer does not have enough money on their card they will be asked to supplement it with a credit card. Only one gift card can be used per sale.
