A punch card - also known as a Frequent Purchase Program - is a way to reward your customers for purchasing the same product multiple times, across multiple visits. TapMango tracks these purchases automatically and rewards your customer when they hit the goal, no physical punch cards or pen-and-paper tracking required!
Once you've completed setup, check out our brief tutorial that shows how easy it is for your cashiers to log a product purchase on the TapMango tablet.
Create the Product in TapMango
Step 1: Create a New Product① From the TapMango Portal, select Products from the left-hand menu, then click Create New Product. ② Fill in the product fields:
③ Click Submit to save. ④ If TapMango is integrated with your in-store POS, you'll be prompted to add product mapping(s). Click Yes to add the product mapping applicable to your integration.

Create the Voucher
Now that TapMango can track your customers' purchases, you'll need to create a voucher to reward them. This voucher will be automatically assigned when a customer meets the purchase goal set in your punch card campaign.
If you'd prefer to assign points instead of a voucher as the punch card reward, you can skip this section - we'll cover the points option in Step 5.
Step 1: Create a New Loyalty Voucher① From the TapMango Portal, navigate to Vouchers and create a new Loyalty voucher. ② Fill in the required fields:
③ Click Submit to save. ④ If TapMango is integrated with your POS or you have TapMango Online Ordering, a pop-up will appear prompting you to add discount mapping. Click Yes to add discount mapping for your integrations.

Create the Campaign
Finally, you'll create a campaign to track product purchases and automatically reward customers when they hit the goal.
Step 1: Create a Campaign Folder① From the TapMango Portal, open the Campaigns dropdown from the left-hand menu and click Manage Campaigns. ② Click Create New at the bottom of the page to create a new campaign folder. Add a Campaign Name, set the Effective Date, check the Active box, and click Submit. |
Step 2: Create the Punch Card Trigger③ Click into the campaign folder you just created and click + Create Activity. Scroll to the bottom of the trigger list and select When customer collects N purchases of 'X'. ④ Fill in the trigger details:
⑤ Optionally configure the Advanced Settings: ⑥ Set the Effective Date for when the trigger should begin tracking activity, then click Submit to save.
|
Step 3: Add the Reward Action⑦ Click + Add Action to define what reward the customer receives when they hit the purchase goal. You have two options: Option A: Assign a Voucher Select Assign Voucher from the Action Type dropdown.
Option B: Assign Points If you'd prefer to reward customers with points instead of a voucher, select Assign Points from the Action Type dropdown. Enter the number of points to award when the customer hits the purchase goal. This is useful if your program is points-based and you don't want to issue a separate voucher. ⑧ Click Submit to save the action.
|
Step 4: Activate the Campaign⑨ Click the 3-dot icon on the right side of your campaign trigger and action, then select Activate to turn the campaign on. |
