Why Is Clover Showing Partial Payments For Online Orders?
The above screenshots were found under "Orders" on the Clover dashboard. You can download the list of transaction using the "export orders from this page" and look at the status
Partial payments occur when there is a disconnect between product prices set in Clover and TapMango.
Typically, this occurs when an update to prices has been made on Clover's end and a catalog sync wasn't performed in TapMango to update the online menu.
How do I fix this?
Luckily, this is an easy error to fix! All you'll need to do is update your TapMango menu prices to match the changes made in Clover.
You can follow our POS Menu Importing and Syncing for step-by-step instructions on how to
- Re-import Data from POS (This is the most import part of updating your menu)
- Schedule the sync
- Publish your menu
A common mistake users make is not performing step 1 (re-importing POS data) when syncing their TapMango menu to Clover. This step is important because it imports the most up to date data from your POS into TapMango. If you don't perform this step, you will just be syncing your TapMango catalog to outdated data.
Can I Recover The Missing Funds?
If the items in your Clover menu were set at higher prices than in TapMango, customers will have paid a lower value and some funds will have been lost. There is no way to regain the difference in prices once the transaction is complete so it is important to always updated your TapMango menu whenever a change is made in Clover.
