If you are using Clover, Toast or Square as your POS (Point of Sale) in conjunction with TapMango Online Ordering, you can import and sync your catalog directly from the POS! This saves you a lot of time when it comes to building and managing your menu as everything can be done in your POS, and then pulled into TapMango.
Menu Importing & Syncing
Before you can sync your POS menu to TapMango, you will need to import it from your POS. This is simple to do and is automatic. You just need run the import and TapMango will do the rest for you.
Step 1: Navigate to the Catalog Sync Page and Start a New Sync① Sign into https://portal.tapmango.com. ② Go to Online Ordering > Catalog Sync. ③ Click New Sync located at the top right or bottom left corner of the page. |
Step 2: Select Your Location, Integration and Target Catalog④ Select your location group and its corresponding integration from the first two dropdowns. If this is your first time importing, select New Catalog from the Target Catalog dropdown. For all subsequent syncs, select the existing catalog to update its data. ⑤ Click Continue. ⑥ Once you click Continue, the option to import data directly from your POS will appear. |
Step 3: Re-Import Your POS Data⑦ Click Re-Import Data from POS to pull the most recent menu changes into TapMango. This step is important - it pulls the latest prices, modifiers, and categories directly from your POS. If you skip this step before syncing, you will push outdated information from your last import. |
Step 4: Select the Categories and Products You Want to ImportOnce the import is complete indicated by the progress bar, the page will refresh and you will see the categories and products that were imported. ⑧ Select your desired products or categories by checking the box next to each one.

Step 5: Name and Create Your Catalog⑨ After selecting your items, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter a name for your menu in the Catalog Name field. ⑩ Click the green Create Catalog button to generate your new menu in TapMango.
You will be redirected to the Catalog Sync menu page and can track the status of the import. Once it's complete you will get an email and the Catalog Sync menu page will show that the status of the import is complete (after refreshing the page) |
Step 6: Create Ordering Time Frames and Publish The Menu⑪ Once the sync is complete, navigate to Online Ordering > Catalog to publish your updates. If there are outstanding updates, an "Unpublished changes" warning icon will appear under the catalog name; simply click the publish icon to the right of it and your changes will go live. |
If you are using Order Pushing, you will need to contact TapMango Support or your account manager to have it enabled.
