If you keep your customer information in Lightspeed, or would like to then this is the method for you.
Do I need to make every customer in Lightspeed (R-Series)?
No - TapMango can automatically create Lightspeed customers when a new customer signs up in TapMango, using the same phone number and email address from the TapMango sign up.
This is the advised method, vs creating customers in Lightspeed directly because you have customers consent to receive SMS on the tablet.
But can I make customers in Lightspeed (R-Series)?
Of course. There's two ways you'd make a customer from Lightspeed into TapMango. This may be better if it's how you and your staff use Lightspeed.
Put through a sale
Any time a sale is completed in Lightspeed we look at the customer. We'll search by Email or Phone number. If we don't find a match we will create that customer in Lightspeed. These customers will still need to agree to SMS consent on the tablet, or via opt-in SMS sent to them.
Use the rewards button.
If you create and then attach a new customer in Lightspeed, or attach a customer to the that does not exist in TapMango we will attempt to match, or create that customer in TapMango when you click the rewards button.
How do I give points?
Giving points is simple, you just need to make sure the right person is on the sale in Lightspeed. TapMango makes this easy for you.
First you'll need to create your rewards button. If you haven't - see this guide on how to do so.
Then do the following:
- Start a Sale
- Click the rewards button you created (note: You may be asked to sign into your tapmango portal account)
- Find your customer and click attach to sale on the right hand side (note if a customer is checked into TapMango at the time) they will automatically be selected
- Finish the sale as normal.
How do I redeem a reward?
First you need to be sure rewards are setup. See this guide on how to do so if you have not already.
- Ring up your customers items
- Like before, click rewards.
- Find your customer but this time select their name (note: again - if a customer is checked in to the paired TapMango tablet they will automatically be selected)
- Pick the reward you want
- Choose Redeem/Update via POS
- Now your discount is there and you can finish the sale.
- When everything is done your customer's points are redeemed.
