Creating Gift Cards
Step 1: Navigate to Gift CardsSign in to http://portal.tapmango.com and navigate to Gift Cards. |
Step 2: Choose an Actionâ‘ To create a new gift card, click Create New. â‘¡ To edit an unclaimed gift card, click Edit on the right, or click the gift card's number. â‘¢ To delete an unclaimed gift card, click Delete on the right. |

Configuration Options
Starting NumberThis is the 9-digit number located on the back of your TapMango keytags. When you receive your keytags they'll come in sheets of 10, in sequential order. If you want to create multiple gift cards at once, this number will be the first number in the range of gift cards you create. Example: If you have a sheet with numbers 110066000 – 110066009 and you'd like to make the whole sheet into gift cards, enter 110066000 as the starting number.

Number of TagsThe total number of gift cards you'd like to create at once. Cards will be assigned sequentially starting from the Starting Number you entered. |
Gift Card DescriptionA description for the gift card. If you're creating multiple gift cards, this description will apply to all of them. If you leave this blank, the description will automatically be set to Gift Card #XXX, where XXX is the gift card number. |
Add Points to Card?Select Yes or No to add points to the card. If you select Yes, you'll be prompted to enter a points amount. |
Add Wallet $ to Card?Select Yes or No to add wallet dollars to the card. If you select Yes, you'll be prompted to enter a dollar amount. |
Require User To Enroll?If Yes, the person scanning the card for the first time will be treated like a new sign-up. If No, the person who scans the card for the first time will automatically receive an account with the name Gift Card and no email or phone number.

Voucher For Gift CardA pop-up list of your existing vouchers. If you'd like to attach a new voucher, you can create one under the Vouchers section first. |

Claimed vs. Unclaimed Gift Cards

After creating gift cards, each card will have one of two statuses: Unclaimed - The card has not yet been scanned by a customer. Unclaimed gift cards can still be edited or deleted. Claimed - The card has been scanned and has a customer profile associated with it. Claimed gift cards cannot be edited or deleted. You can click the customer name under the Claimed By column to go directly to that customer's profile. |
