Merchants who have a Toast menu integration with TapMango have an alternative (and more streamlined) option of marking modifiers as 'Sold Out' in their TapMango menu's.
How it works
TapMango support will need to enable a setting (upon request) in your integration for this feature to work.
Once enabled, the system will automatically mark modifiers as ‘Sold Out’ in your TapMango menus based on the modifier status in your Toast POS. So if a cashier in store marks a modifier as 'Sold Out', we will receive that update and the same modifier will automatically be marked as 'Sold Out' in TapMango.
The sold out modifier will still be visible to the customer, but they won’t be able to select it - see below screenshot for reference showing the modifier sold out (highlighted in yellow).
Stock settings in Toast
There are two main ways that Toast allows merchants to track inventory in their POS for stock:
- In Stock/Out of Stock
- Quantity
Option 1 acts as a toggle where merchants can choose to mark the item as either ‘in stock’ or ‘out of stock’.
Option 2 allows merchants to set the quantity of the item that's available (ex. 10) and Toast will automatically reduce that number as customers purchase the item. When the quantity reaches 0, it will be considered 'out of stock ' in Toast.
