To successfully import the menu data from Toast into TapMango online ordering there are a few things to be mindful of when building your menu(s):
Use Menu Groups!
Highlighted in green 'Blended Drinks', 'Teas', 'Hot Teas', 'Coffee', and 'Food' are individual Menus.
Highlighted in pink are Menu Groups nested within 'Blended Drinks'.
For example 'Cha-Signature', is a Menu Group nested under the 'Blended Drinks' menu. When 'Cha-Signature' is selected you can see the individual items inside the Menu Group.

No Subgroups!
As subgroups are not visible to TapMango they can't be imported for online ordering.
This is a limitation of the Toast integration; items inside subgroups don't appear when syncing the menu or viewing the POS Data for discount mapping in the TapMango Portal. Subgroups are found within Menu Groups and should not be used if you plan to import items into TapMango (see images below):
Visible to Online Ordering Partners
If you've noticed items missing from your Toast menu after a menu sync it might mean the Toast menu doesn't have the correct “visibility” settings enabled.
TapMango can only import menus made visible to “Online ordering partners” with TapMango checked off.
Toast menus can be visible to the In-Store POS, Toast Online Ordering, and/or Other Ordering Partners (TapMango, UberEats, GrubHub, DoorDash, etc) under Channel Visibility settings.
- Go to the menu that should be visible to TapMango and click Edit, do not select Advanced Edit.
- Scroll down to the Channel Visibility section then toggle on the option for Online ordering partners and check off TapMango.
If you want to avoid sharing your in-store menu/prices with services other than TapMango, let us know and we can enable an alternative setting in the integration.
