Do I need to Setup Friend Referral?
While Friend Referral is a campaign feature It's very likely that you already have a friend referral feature setup in some way. This guide will cover both editing and creating a new friend referral trigger.
Where Do I find my Existing Friend Referral?

Depending on the age of your account, your default setup may have changed. You'll find your friend referral campaign in one of two places. Both will be in the campaign manager. The campaign manager is under campaigns > manage campaigns |

You'll find your friend referral trigger/action combo under standard campaign or friend referral
Note: Though not likely, it's possible you do not have a friend referral campaign created.
Where Do I Edit/Create Friend Referral?
Editing An Existing Friend Referral
To edit an existing friend referral campaign just click the campaign name or details to access the triggers and actions setup.

What Makes Up Friend Referral?
A basic Friend Referral is made of 2 or 3 separate activities in a campaign.

The Notification |
How is your customer informed?The default trigger will notify customers after a specific number of visits to your store - When Customer Checks in N Times The actions will be send email, text message, or push notification that explains the offer and includes the referral link. The message should include the special tag [[REFER_FRIEND_LINK]] to generate the link your customers share to sign up their friends. |

The Reward |
What is your existing customer rewarded?The trigger used is When customer Refers N Friends and is set to 1 friend. The actions will be to assign voucher, and send an email, text message, or push notification to let the customer know the new customer has started earning points and their reward is available. |

New Customer Bonus |
Do the new customers receive something special?This is an optional step. If this is added it will decide the sign up bonus the new customer receives, instead of what you have set as your standard sign up bonus. The trigger used is When Referred Friend Enrolls The actions, like the existing customer bonus is an assign voucher, and a send email, text, or push notification. This is sent to the new person immediately after sign up |
Can I Change the Notification Trigger?
Once a campaign trigger has been used already, it cannot be edited. If you'd like to change the way a message is sent you will need to create a new activity. For more details see:
