What are Item Overrides?
Your online ordering items may have overrides set on individual items. This can be done on prices or taxes.
Overriding Prices
A price override is useful if you'd like to have specific items be given a different price when an order is being placed to certain locations.
Overriding Taxes
A tax override is useful of a specific item should be charged a different tax rate due to the classification of the item in your locality.
How To Apply Overrides
Step 1
Login to your TapMango Portal by going to https://portal.tapmango.com/
Step 2
Navigate to your Catalog by clicking on "Orders" > "Catalog" then select your desired location group
Step 3
Navigate to the catalog you'd to edit
Step 4
Go to the specific item you'd like to add an override for, and select the 3 dots to open a menu. Select "override".
Step 5
Select + ADD OVERRIDE and define the options to add an override
- Option 1: "Select applicable locations"
- If you have more than 1 location, then this will allow you to choose which location you would like this time frame to apply to
- Option 2: "Select type"
- "Price": This option is for overriding a price at a specific location
- "Tax": This option is for overriding the taxes of a specific item
- Option 3: "Value"
- Define the value to override.
- If overriding a price this is the value the customer will be charged instead of the items normal cost when placing an order at the locations selected
- If overriding tax this is the tax rate (%) that the item will be charged when ordering at the locations selected.
- Define the value to override.
Click "Add" to close the "Update Time Frame" pop-up window and click "Submit" again on the main "Edit Catalog" page.
When finished you will need to publish your menu for the changes to take effect.
