What's the Template Creator?
The email template creator is a simplified, and user-friendly tool to create email templates through TapMango. This provides less fine-tuned features than the HTML editor, but does offer a simpler way to create various layouts.
How Do I find it?
HTML Email TemplatesTo access the original template creator, open the Creatives dropdown menu and click Email Templates. Here you can create a new template or edit existing templates. |
|
Campaign TemplatesTo access the new Campaign Templates Creatives > Campaign Templates. Then select either Select Template on an existing template or Start from Scratch under the Saved Templates tab. |
How Does it work?
The template creator works by adding different elements to your template such as sections, headings, images, links, or icons. There is also a rich text editor included for the text-based elements.
Saving
The template creator is a separate app from your HTML editor. Any changes made in the template creator must first be saved using the save button in the top right. If you do not save the changes will not reflect in the email template. If you accidentally close the template creator the changes will still be there if you re-open it.
Because this editor is separate you must still save the template itself as you normally would when editing an template outside the template creator.
Drag and Drop
When adding any element to the email body you drag and drop from the content bar on the right side.
Quick Editing
Once content has been placed it can quickly be edited by clicking on it, options will appear on the right side.
Easy to Organize
Once created content can easily be
Moved by clicking and dragging the move icon
Deleted by clicking the trash bin
Duplicated by clicking the 2 overlapping squares
Quick Testing
You can text the email template at any time if you'd like. In the left corner under actions there is a send test option. You can enter the email to send a test to.
The customer specific information from special tags will use a customer account matching the email entered, if no match is found then a customer from your list will be used.
