Can I Edit the Default Template?
Yes! You're free to make changes if you'd like. There's also an HTML/Code option available if you're feeling adventurous.
Can I Delete the Default Template?
You'll see an error if you're attempting to delete an email template in use by any campaigns.
What if I Make a Mistake?
If you are creating your campaign from Creatives > Email Template and make a mistake, or accidentally remove something - there is a restore button available after saving the template, located at the bottom of the edit page.
If you are creating your campaign from Creatives > Campaign Template, you will not be able to restore or reverse saved changes so you must make sure you review your work carefully and/or save your changes as a new template so that you don't override the original.

To create an email template select Create New.
To edit an existing template select Edit on the right side or the name of the template

Thing to Keep in Mind
When creating your templates always keep the following in mind:
The [[TEXT]] Tag
The text tag ([[TEXT]]) should always be used in an email template. This should only be used once. This is what your emails will use to display the body text you type out.
The [[HEADER]] tag
The header ([[HEADER]]) tag is a smart one to use. It's not necessary - but it's where your email header will go, or the subject line of your quick campaign email.
Unsubscribe link
It's wise to use the unsubscribe link tag ([[UNSUBSCRIBE_URL]] - but not necessary. TapMango emails will always include a small, subtle footer at the bottom (powered by TapMango). If you do not have the unsubscribe link in your email, it will be displayed here.
You can use images
Both the HTML Email Editor and the Template Creator (see below) support adding images to the email. However, keep in mind that large images will have their size reduced to avoid taking up too much space in your customer's inboxes.
Have fun with the layout
Both our HTML and Template creators support options to create various email layouts, so have fun. See the guides below for more information.
Using The Editors
The basic template editor under Creatives > Email Templates is the same rich text editor you can use when creating an email in a quick campaign or campaign manager using the send email action. We also provide a more user-friendly template creator, but doesn't offer support for editing the HTML of your emails.
