This guide covers the different ways to attach a customer's TapMango rewards account to a sale on Toast.
Using a Paired TapMango Tablet
Quick Search CodeThis method requires a TapMango tablet paired to your Toast register. Your customer signs in on the tablet, and you attach their rewards account to the sale using a quick search code.
① If you haven't already, sign in using your Toast employee PIN. ② Ask the customer to sign in on the paired TapMango tablet. ③ On Toast, click Rewards followed by Look Up Customer. ④ Enter your quick search code and select Done. The customer's profile will attach to the sale as long as they're still signed in on the tablet. |
Attaching Customers Without a TapMango Tablet
If you don't have a TapMango tablet paired to your register, you can look up a customer's account directly on Toast using their phone number, name, email, or keytag.
Phone Number① If you haven't already, sign in using your Toast employee PIN. ② Select Rewards from your menu, then select Look Up Customer. ③ Ask the customer for the phone number they use for their rewards account. ④ Enter their number and select Done. Their profile will attach to the sale and any available rewards will appear. If no match is found, try the Full Search method below. |
Full SearchUse this method if the customer doesn't remember which phone number they used, or doesn't want to say it out loud. ① If you haven't already, sign in using your Toast employee PIN. ② Select Rewards from your menu, then select Look Up Customer. ③ On the popup, select Lookup to open the search screen. ④ Ask the customer for their name, email, or phone number. Full or partial searches work for any of these fields. ⑤ Enter their information and select Done. ⑥ Select the correct customer from the search results, then select Done. The customer is now attached to the sale. |
Keytag Scan or Number① If you haven't already, sign in using your Toast employee PIN. ② Select Rewards from your menu, then select Look Up Customer. ③ On the popup, select Scan to open the camera, then face the keytag's QR code towards the camera to scan it. Alternatively, type the 9-digit keytag number directly in the text box. ④ Select Done. The customer's profile will attach to the sale. If you receive an error, the keytag may not be assigned to an account. |
