This guide explains how to register new customers in TapMango directly through your Toast integration - no TapMango tablet required for the registration itself.

| Important: Your Toast integration has a Quick Registration Code set - by default this is 0. If 0 is not working, contact your account manager or our support team to update it. |
Registering a Customer Through Toast
Step 1: Enter the Customer's Phone Number with the Registration Prefix① Select the Rewards option in Toast. A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter a phone number. ② Enter the customer's phone number prefixed with your Quick Registration Code (default: 0). For example: if the customer's number is 855-208-0020, you'd enter 08552080020.

Step 2: Customer Account is CreatedIf the customer does not already exist in TapMango, there will be a brief pause while the account is created. The customer will immediately receive a text message asking them to opt in to your rewards program messages. |

When a customer is registered directly through Toast, they are automatically created in TapMango's system and sent a text message from a short code asking them to enroll to receive messages. What's important is that the customer texts back YES - without this, they will not receive your text message promotions.

Things to Consider
A Customer Account is Always CreatedAny number prefixed with your Quick Registration Code will trigger account creation - we cannot validate whether the number entered is a real phone number. If there's a typo, you'll need to correct the account in the TapMango Portal or create a new one by retrying with the correct number. |
SMS Consent Must be ObtainedCustomers must respond YES to the enrollment text they receive. This is a legal requirement - we cannot opt anyone in automatically or based on consent status in Toast. This is also why confirming the customer's number before submitting is so important. |
No Tablet Means No Rewards ShownWhile we strongly encourage using the TapMango tablet for the best customer experience, this registration method does work without one. Keep in mind that without a tablet, customers will not be able to view their points or access features such as Online Review Boost, Instant Win, or Post To Facebook. |
