Overview
A promotional code is a discount code merchants can provide to customers via campaigns, social media, in-store, etc.
These codes are linked to a voucher in Portal and can be entered at check-out when customers are making purchases via TapMango's online ordering service. Only one promo code can be used during a single transaction.
Note: Promo Codes is currently only available for merchants using online ordering (web and mobile) only.
The Benefits of Promo Codes
Track External Platform Success
- For example, if you want to boost your online orders and you decide to run an ad on Facebook and Instagram, you can put one code on FB and another on Instagram.
- This way, you will be able to see which platform directs the most customers to your online ordering based on which code is used more on check-out.
- If you find that the code being used on one platform is significantly more popular than the the other, you'll know which platform to put more effort into marketing on.
Track Influencer/Ambassador Success
- If you work with any influencers or brand ambassadors (people that promote the business), you can give each person their own promo code and see which influencer/brand ambassador sends the most customers to the business.
- Based on this information, you may decide to manage relationships with each ambassador/influencers differently.
Increase Online Order Adoption from Current Customers
- You can use TapMango's campaigns to inform existing customers about a code (discount) for online ordering.
- Promo code vouchers will not appear under the Quick Campaigns/Promotion module or as an action when creating a campaign in a folder.
- You will need to manually include the code in your campaign message (sms/email/push) so customers can copy the code and use it on online ordering.
