We need to tell Shopify What To Do

For Shopify to know how to apply TapMango rewards and vouchers, you'll need to create the discount mapping. With discount mapping you're in control; tell Shopify how much to discount and which items the discount can apply to!

Add a Discount

On http://portal.tapmango.com select Rewards or Vouchers, then create a new discount OR choose an existing reward or voucher to edit.

Click the *Discounts* tab and then the *Add Discount* button to create the discount mapping.

On the *Integration* dropdown menu select your Shopify integration. Then choose an option from the Discount Type dropdown to continue configuring the discount.

Different Types of Discounts?

The TapMango integration with Shopify supports various discount types that allow you to control what discounts apply and how. Depending on the discount type you've selected more settings will appear to customize how the discount works!

Product Discounts

The first type covered in this guide is the Product Discount. Choose from either a percentage-based or amount-based product discount and restrict which products or collections the discount can be applied to. A product or collection ID is required for this discount type.
Where to find product or collection IDs in Shopify

Percentage

A percentage-based discount. Set the percentage the reward or voucher will discount from the specific product(s) or collection.

Amount

A flat amount discount. Set the $ amount the reward or voucher will discount from the specific product(s) or collection.

↪ Applies To

The Applies To section is where you specify which products or collections a reward or voucher will apply to. Only use Product OR Collection IDs.
Separate multiple IDs with a comma.

Click on theicon beside the Collection or Product fields and select the collection or product the discount will apply to.

↪ Usage Limits

Applies to a single item • No or Yes •
By default, this setting only works with Shopify Retail & does NOT work with Shopify eCommerce. Please contact your account manager or support to have this enabled for eCommerce. For Shopify eCommerce, the discount mapping can only be Product IDs, if a Collection ID is used ALL applicable products will still be discounted.

• If a %-based product discount is set to apply to multiple products, all applicable items will be discounted by the set %.

• If a $-based product discount is set to apply to multiple products, the discount will only apply to applicable products until the $-amount set is fully spent and the discount will not apply the $-amount to every applicable product.

By default, the discount applies to every item in the sale matching the Product or Collection ID added to the *Applies To* fields.
If the discount only applies to a single item select **Yes**, and choose if the reward or voucher applies to the highest or lowest value item in the sale.

↪ Minimum Requirement

The Minimum Requirement section allows you to set a minimum purchase amount OR minimum quantity of items. The reward or voucher can't be redeemed unless the sale meets the minimum requirement.

Overall Discounts

Overall Discounts apply a percentage or $ amount to the entire sale and can't be restricted to specific products or collections. Instead, choose if the sale must meet a minimum requirement before the discount can apply.

The Minimum Requirement section allows you to set a minimum purchase amount OR minimum quantity of items. The reward or voucher can't be redeemed unless the sale meets the minimum requirement.

Free Shipping

As the discount name implies, you can offer a Free Shipping discount for your Shopify e-commerce site! Simply select your Shopify integration and the Free Shipping Discount Type and save, it's that easy!

Where to find product or collection IDs in Shopify

Find the ID(s) by clicking the magnifying glass icon beside the Collection or Product fields under the Applies To section.

This opens a window to search and add the products or collections to the discount mapping.

Alternatively, you can copy the ID(s) from the end of the URL when viewing a specific product or collection in Shopify.

Log into your Shopify account at https://admin.shopify.com/ and click Products from the menu on the left.

To map specific products click *edit* on the product(s) you want to map to the discount, the ID will be the string of numbers after /products/**XXXXXXXXXXX**

To map specific collections click *edit* on the collection(s) you want to map to the discount, the ID will be the string of numbers after /collections/**XXXXXXXXXXX**
