How Do Customers Redeem Their Code?
Promo codes can only be redeemed on the TapMango Online Ordering checkout page.
The promo code box will appear on the cart screen as long as there is one active promo code in your Portal account, regardless of who it's restricted to.
Note: Customers cannot combine both a promo code and loyalty discount (reward/voucher) on a single order - they can only choose one to redeem. If they successfully apply the promo code to the cart, the Rewards tile will disappear.
Errors When Redeeming a Code?
In the event that a code hasn’t been applied successfully, we will show an error message to the customer letting them know there’s an issue with the redemption. The customer can then review the code they entered or attempt a different code:
The following are the specific error messages we display to customers when they run into an issue with redeeming a code:
| Scenerio | Error Message |
| If customer enters a promo code that doesn’t exist or is mistyped | Invalid promo code. Please check the code and try again. |
| If customer attempts to redeem a code that has already reached it’s max customer usage | Sorry, the maximum number of redemptions for this promo code have been reached |
| If the customer tries to redeem a promo code that is already expired | This promo code has expired. Please use a valid code |
| All other scenarios | The promo code entered is not valid |
What Happens To a Used Promo Code After a Refund?
If an order that had a promo code used is refunded, we will reverse the redemption of that promo code and the customer will be able to use the code again (as long as it’s active).
